View NotesJed Luckless is back in full force on the second leg of his 2024 Summer Tour, with this epic show at Commune Utopia In Secondlife. Together with Moondance on lights, the pair absolutely tears up the virtual beach which was packed with an amazing enthusiastic crowd! The show kicks off with Phish's "Everything's Right" (which Phish also played that night in Colorado!) which sets a good jammy tone for the evening ahead. Indeed, the second song "Each And Every Day" launches into an extended improv jam that makes it way into "Lightship," featuring its nice lofty solo section. A breather next with the poignant "When it Comes Around," and then it's back to rockin with the Monkees "Stepping Stone," complete with a "Peter Gunn Theme" tease. A brief but fun cover of the Grateful Dead's "Touch Of Grey" closes out the first set. Second set lifts off with the title track from Jed's most recent album "Multiply" which produces an awesome jam that stretches out to twenty-eight minutes before seamlessly sliding into "Where Are We Now," a tune from Jed's 'A.I. Halloween" event. He also jams that one out before camling things down for a minute with Phish's "Dirt." Another Phishy cover is next with the Talking Heads "Cities," which perfectly launches into one more awesome jam that again seems to fit perfectly with its partner, in this case Jed's original "Alignments." "Far Gone Blues" and "Used To Feel Good" are the perfect tunes to close out the rest of the set, but Jed's not quite done yet, with a two song encore that features a beautiful version of "Barter Creek," and a rippin' take on "After Midnight," appropriate given how late this show went! Included with this recording is the sound check featuring a cool jam and Jed's ditty "Margarita" which he seems to be using for vocal sound check alot during this tour. This is a really great show at a great venue with a great crowd in attendance. It's a meaty show with a second set that's over 90 minutes! And it features a great setlist with at least three monster jams and a bunch of other great solos and segues. One of the best shows of the tour for sure and a must listen! Enjoy!
