View NotesThe 2022 Jed Luckless Europe tour kicks off in the U.K. at New Brighton Pier in Secondlife, with very special guest Lexus Melodie! This was the first of three shows with Lexus that made up the "Meet Me In London Tour" within a tour. It was the first time these two Secondlife powerhouses teamed up to perform together. The first set features Jed and Lexus performing together on a mix of original Lexus Melodie songs and covers. The opener is Stephen Fretwell's "Run" featuring some nice interplay between Lexus' vocals and Jed's guitar. "Naive" by the Kooks is up next, with Jed laying it on bit heavier with the guitar and joining in on backup vocals. A Lexus original called "Eliminate" follows, with Jed moving to the drum kit to lay down some nice back beats. It's back to the guitar for Kodaline's "All I Want," featuring some really nice harmonies between Jed and Lexus. They deliver one more cover, the Verve's "Drugs Don't Work" before wrapping up the set with 'Jed's favorite Lexus song,' the wonderful original "Meet Me In London." Despite a slight mix up on on the key, it's a really nice meshing of these two performers styles. There's barely a break before Jed launches into a solo set, kicking it off with his up-tempo pop tune "Still In Luv With U." He continues the 'love' theme, following it up with "I Love You" and "The Need For Love," which he extends into a jam. It's really the only jam of the night, but it's super energized with soaring guitar lines and synth effects and makes a nice left turn into a melodic major mode before a seamless transition into "Catfish Friend." It's a hot version, clocking in over ten minutes and featuring a rocking solo section of its own. The ambitious and lofty "Twelve" follows with it's intense, progressive style end section, after which Jed closes the set with the bluegrassy "Where The Mountains Meet The Sea." A double encore features the McKean Sinkler song "On And On We Go," followed by a deliciously jammed out version of Velvet Underground's "Rock And Roll." This is a great start to Jed's 2022 Europe Tour at one of his favorite venues, featuring a team-up never heard before and a set of Jed rockers featuring a killer mid-point jam. Enjoy!
