View NotesThe Jed Luckless 2024 Winter Tour rolls into The Mumbling Goat in Secondlife for a two-night stand at the fun Lighthouse Island venue! It's always a party when Jed and crew set up for multi-night runs, especially when Moondance Parx joins on lights in a comfortable venue like this. Things get started with the title cut from Jed's "Luna" suite, which may be the first time the song has ever opened a show. The GuRGLe-era blueser "Black Molly" is up next, followed by "The 86," the solo section of which absolutely soars - as Jed puts it "this is one of my favorites to jam with Moonie." The cowboy tale "Ride With The Devil" is up next with it's obligatory premable "One And..." Jed quiets things down for a spell with the pretty instrumental "Outside Looking In" before dipping back into the GuRGLe years again with "Old Man Miller." He opens it up into a nice long jam before sliding into the self-reflective set closer "My Tune." Second set opens strongly with "The Need For Love" which spawns the longest jam of the night at twenty-two minutes. It's an uptemo rocker of an improv that segues into a song from 2023's "A.I. Halloween" show called "Brand New Day." It's great to see songs from that show coming into rotation so quickly! The fun and folksy "Old Town Hall" is up next, followed by a cut from Jed's new album, the opening track "Time & Tide." An exceptionally sublime "Sugar Pop" appears out of nowhere and spills over into another nice jam before Jed goes back to his new album to close the set with "Throw it Down The Hill." Jed's living up to his promise to corporate to plug the album this tour, adding in an ecore of "Ungratefully Dead," which is also on the new "Multiply" album. Included with this recording is also a nice soundcheck jam. You can always count on a good time at the Goat, and this is a solid show with a great vintage setlist, some hot jams and a number of songs from Jed's new album. The "Need For love" jam and great version of "Sugar Pop" are well worth a listen, but so is the rest of the show! Enjoy!
