View NotesJed's 2024 Winter Tour makes it's annual stop at the Hippiestock festival in Secondlife! It's always a hoot when Jed closes out the festivities, and this year it's a new location modelled after the original Woodstock site. Jed kicks things off with some Grateful Dead, opening the set with a nice version of "New Speedway Boogie." Next he plays a cut from his new album called "Latest Craze" and he doesn't wait long to launch into a nice improv jam. It finds its way into a cover of the Phish song "Gotta Jiboo" which also features a nice long jam with atmospheric elements. It's back to the Grateful Dead after that with "Deal" in tribute to Jed Head and friend "Hatter" Troy Large who had recently passed away. "Listen To Nature," a song from Jed's 'Tales of Halloweens past' show fits right in here to close the first set. Second set opens with the Mark Gutenplan penned "Englishtown," very appropriate for the setting, with a nice segue into some more Grateful Dead with a beautiful version of "Bird Song." Jed keeps the covers coming with the Bob Dylan tune "All Along The Watchtower," and takes the opportunity to deliver one more rocking jam before sliding into the weed inspired "Brother Love" to close the set. The encore features another cut from Jed's new album, "Ungratefully Dead," which he squeezes in before the hard curfew. This is a super fun show, and definitely one for the Dead Heads out there, featuring three Grateful Dead tunes, plus a Dylan tune and the Dead inspired "Englishtown." There's also a few great Jed originals and a couple nice jams. Jed packs a lot into this short show. Give it a spin and enjoy!
