View NotesClueless Wallob makes their return to Flavor Fest 11 in Walden, NY! Host Andy Gladding once again puts on an amazing weekend - this is always a super fun gig, with camping, swimming, tons of live music and a great, loving family vibe! The band opens with the first of quite a few new Clueless debuts, a rockin' "AC/DC Bag" to get the show on the road. Up next is something more familiar for the Wallobs, "Mike's Song," led by Kenny Kaufman and of course spreading out a little into a nice not jam. Instead of Weekapaug or Simple, the band instead shifts into another debut for them, "My Sweet One," which has a fun little storytime element to it courtesy of Jed Luckless. Next up is CW's take on the latest Phish single "Evolve," which comes off really nicely, followed by a solid version of "The Moma Dance." The DWD intro is a bit lacking without Mike Gordon, but once they get going the fellas deliver a rocking "Down With Disease" jam which is the longest cut of the show at over ten minutes. The DWD jam winds down very nicely into "Waste" with Mark Mattson leading the vocals, and then it's back to another new one for the band, their take on Trey Anastasio's "Ruby Waves," with a nice jam featuring Pete Martine keeping rapid pace on the kit. The jam segues into "Tube" followed by a stupendous "Wolfman's Brother" with one last nice jam. The encore features "Blaze On" a perfect ending to a great set on a beautiful day in Walden, NY. This is a solid show full of new tunes added to the Clueless Wallob repetoire and fueled by an amazingly supportive crowd enjoying a killer outdoor party. There are some real good versions of songs here, along with the usual inventive improv jamming the Wallobs bring to their shows. It's a good sounding audience matrixed recording, definitely worth a spin for you turtle lovers! Enjoy!
