View NotesIt's a specvial Valentine's Day show on Jed's 2024 Winter Tour as he makes his debut appearance at a small brewery called Wild Branch, for their "Traffic Light" Party. It's just one long set, but it's a fun mix of songs perfectly crafted for the occasion. Jed kicks things off with one of the oldest original songs he plays "I Think I Love Her," then follows it up with something from the 90's with the poignant "Some Notes On Lying." Jed remarks that playing the set list is like a walk down his own personal lovers memory lane, and then another "high school" era song appears in "Someone To Give My Love To" followed by the melancholy vibed "When It Comes Around." The title track off his 2010 album "All At Once," makes an appearance before Jed shifts into cover tune territory for a bit, starting the segment off with "Waste" by Phish, After and following that up with Tommy Tutone's "867-5309" and Led Zeppelin's "Going To California." It's back to original love songs with "Still In Luv With U," but covers are still in the mix with Stevie Nick's "Landslide." The up-tempo bluegrassy "Where The Mountains Meet The Sea," closes the set, and Jed tacks on the J.Geils Band classic "Love Stinks" as a fun, ironic encore. Included with this recording is a nice soundcheck jam as well. This is a fun V-day show with a cool, mellow vibe and an emotionally driven setlist. What it lacks in jammage, it makes up for with heart, and includes a nice mix of originals and great cover choices. The soundcheck included here provides a little something for those needing their jam fix. Enjoy!
