View NotesThe Jed Luckless Band is back for their traditional Election Day concert! And what an election day it was! Nothing is more fun than tuning out the exit polls and rocking with JLB all night long. The setlist has some great thematic choices to it, starting out with the opener, "Remember This Night" led by Mark Gutenplan. The band is raring to go, so it opens into a nice jam right off the bat, which finds it's way into "Ozone Blues." Kenny Kaufman takes the mic next for the Grateful Dead's "Loser," followed by Jed's historical epic "2000 Pikes" which spawns another nice improv jam that segues into "Sugar Pop." It's the fatest version of the song you will likely ever hear and Pete Martine does a great job holding it down on the drums. The set closes with "The Last Show" always a fan favorite. Second set starts after a lengthy break but doesn't lose a bit of momentum, kicking off with "Maserati" followed by a rockin' version of "Moved To The Country." The jam vehicle "Rolling Waves" is up next, a seemingly perfect sentiment for the evening, and indeed opens up into a solid jam that lands nicely in the bucolic ditty "The Birds Don't Know." It's back to rockin' with Jed's indie-esque "Always Alone," followed by 'the most important song of the show,' "Road Trip." Mark's "FM Rock" comes next with Kenny leading it into a sweet cover of "Pink Houses" sung by Jed. The two song encore features "Brother Love" and the perfect capper for an election night show, "U.S. Blues" by the Dead. This is super high energy, somewhat raucous show on an historic night in America. When someone asks where you were when Trump won the 2024 election, I sure hope you can say you were at the JLB show! And if you weren't, give it a spin and enjoy!
