View NotesThe Jed Luckless Band is back for round two of their March Madness 2024 run at The Mumbling Goat in Second Life! After a strong opening show the prior week, the band is ready to rock again, this time with Kalyca McCallen filling in at the lightboard! The JLB eases into things with a mellow take on their pop rocker "Still In Luv With U" followed by the first of many JLB debuts with "Time & Tide" from Jed's new album. The Gary Tyler tune "Stronger Instead" makes an appearance next and gives way to a nice improv jam before a segue into the instrumental "Valley Of The Saints" which always gives drummer Pete Martine a chance to shine. The fun blueser "Old Town Hall" is next," followed by Phish's "Ghost" which materializes another nice jam with a seamless transition into "Forgot To Forget You" to close the set. Second set opens with Mark Gutenplan at the mic, leading the band through his long strange tale "Englishtown," which features a sweet jam and a surprise turn into a GD JLB debut of "Friend Of The Devil," with Kenny Kaufman on vocals. The up-beat, inspirational rocker "Rolling Waves" comes next, and lends itself to one more rocking improv jam before winding down into another JLB debut of a tune off Jed's new album, "Throw It Down The Hill," always a fan favorite and cool to hear the band's take on it. A surprising debut of a song called "Lost In You" from 2023's Jammin Jed's A.I. Halloween event creates one of the prettiest moments of the night and sets things up perfectly for the high energy closer "Loving Cup." A short "Far Gone Blues" encore caps off the evening. This is another great March Madness outing from JLB with a cool setlist full of debuts and jams, with a special guest lighting things up. Definitely one to give a listen to! Enjoy!
