View NotesJammin Jed's 2024 Winter Tour rolls into the Mystic Muse venue in Second Life for the first time ever and it's a fun show with a mystical vibe! Jed blasts off with the storyteller "Luna" which is included on his latest album, following it with "Alignments" which seems perfect for the venue. The GuRGLe era war epic "Friendly Burial" comes next and explodes into the first jam of the night, an upbeat improv that finds it's way into "Valley Of The Saints" which continues to enforce the venue specific vibe. Another cut off the new album follows that with "Ungratefully Dead," and then the first cover tune of the night harkening back to Jed's early days with the Grateful Dead's "Eyes Of The World," which he also expands nicely into a powerful jam before sliding into a bustout of School House Rock's "Nouns" song to end the set. Second set starts off with a song from 2023's AI Halloween event called "Where Are We Now" which Jed opens into one more improv jam for the night before transitioning into "Own" from the new album. A rare Beatles cover of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" is a fun surprise next, followed by a Jed original off his 2010 All At Once album called "Lead Me." The title track from Jed's 2015 "Roll Over" album is the encore. Also included with this recording is a cool soundcheck jam. This is an interesting show at a new venue with an eclectic setlist and a unique vibe (as Jed says it's very 'mixolydian'!), but it's got some solid jams and a couple good ones for the GD and Beatles fans out there. Enjoy!
