View NotesAfter a brief break, the Jed Luckless 2024 Winter Tour is back for a special leap-day event called Let's Play at Bellisseria Fairgrounds in Secondlife. It was a fundraising event for Relay For Life and the venue was a giant sized toy room filled with all your favorite childhood games! Jed was pretty sick, but as he says 'the show must go on' and he powers through, and actual delivers on of the most fun shows on the tour. 

Jed kicks things off perfectly with "Come On Get Happy" by the Partridge Family, often credited by Jed for being one of the main reasons he became a musician. Next up is a cut off his new album called "Latest Craze" which seems super appropriate for the event. But it's followed by a moment of sadness as Jed pays tribute to friend Lexie Luan who was lost to cancer, and also recently passed Jed Head Kedwyn Parmalee, with a cover of Lexie's song "It Isn't Fair." He picks up the mood again with the Cars song "Let The Good Times Roll" followed by another cover of the Ghost Light rocker "Best Kept Secret." He gets to back to originals with the title track from his new album "Multiply" paired a nice extended jam that extends over twenty minutes then slides into "Queen Lucille" to close the first frame.

Second set opens with "Each And Every Day," which of course opens into a nice long improv jam featuring some high energy piano and guitar riffs. It transitions into the GuRGLe era tune "Cash Me In." Up next is fun rarity, a song Jed wrote as an audition for 'Let's Make A Deal' called "I Wanna Be Your Homie." Another Covid-era story leads into the candy-inspired rocker "Send Me A Package" which produces one more great jam for the night before an absolutely seamless segue into the always fun Cailidgh Spires tune "The Song With Words And Stuff" to close out the main event. With his last bit of energy, Jed tacks on a fun cover of the J. Geils Band classic "Centerfold."

Despite Jed being sick and this being a fundraiser for Relay For Life, it's actually one of the funnest and energetic shows on the tour. It's got an eclectic set list of game-related songs, with a number of interesting covers, some cuts from Jed's new album (of course) and three solid improv jams. Definitely a show worth a listen!
