View NotesThe Jed Luckless 2024 Winter Tour rolls intro virtual New York City in Secondlife for a show at the famous Hotel Chelsea venue. Not in the main room, or on the roof where Jed is known to perform, but in a brand new venue in the park called "Strawberry Fields." While Jed's roof shows are certainly fun, this location really seems perfect for a Jed show especially with Moondance Parx lighting it up. The opener is the Talking Head's song "Cities" and it's a great choice for the locale. Jed wastes no time in opening it up into a jam sesh, pairing it with his original "Water Glass" and its extended end solo section. The two tunes fill up the first 25 minutes of the show! He slows it down a bit with "Moved To The Country" followed by a surprise drop of the Beatles "Strawberry Fields." Perfect song for the spot, and although Jed struggles with parts of it, the jam out of it is quite intense. When the dust settles, the gentle "Barter Creek" appears. Jed gets rocking again with a cut from his "A.I. Halloween," an instrumental called "Red Zone." A cut off his new album, "Forgot To Forget You" wraps up the first set. Second set opens with another tune from Jed's "A.I. Halloween," the appropriately titled "Heart of The City." It opens up into one of the longest jams of the night, finding it's way into another song off the "Multiply" album, the powerful "Feel." A song from Jed's 'Luna Suite' is up next, the bittersweet "Oh My Star." Another city-inspired tune appears next depicting the things that are "Hard To See" in NYC. Jed delivers another rocking jam out of it, with a segue into the quiet "Own," yet another track off his new album. A beautiful rendition of the Rolling Stones' "Waiting On A Friend," closes the set, and Jed tacks on his bouncy blueser "Far Gone Blues" as an encore. This is a really great show. You can tell the mix of venue and crowd create a perfect vibe for a Jed concert filled with rockin jams and blazing with an amazing light show. The opening two songs alone are worth the price of admission but there's alot more in store with several tunes from the AI Halloween show making their first appearance in rotation, a bunch of city inspired themes, a few nice poignant moments and a killer Stones cover. Enjoy!
