View NotesIt's night two of a two-night run at The Mumbling Goat in Secondlife on Jed's 2024 Winter Tour, and it's a great example of how the energy ratchets up on these multi-night stands! Moondance joined the fun and a great crowd brought good vibes to Lighthouse Island! Jed opens things up with the title track off his new album "Multiply" followed by his Mexican adventure tune "La Puerta." The instrumental "Doigter" is up next and as always lends itself to a magical light show. Jed digs into his "Tales Of Halloween Past" event for "Pirate Chaser" which opens up into the first long jam of the night, pairing it with a song from the more recent "A.I. Halloween" song "Lost In You," continuing the trend on this tour of bringing many of the songs from that show into the lineup. The stalwart "Listen To The Angels" is next, followed by another cut off the new album "Feel," to close out the set. Second set opens with fan favorite "Maserati," which Jed throttles into a massive improv jam that has a high speed backbeat and racy guitar lines. It segues into another tune from the 'Halloweens Past' show called "Orbit," nice mellow spacey tune. The first cover song of the night swims in next with Phish's "Wolfman's Brother," which Jed extends nicely to sixteen minutes before reprising the main progression to wrap it up. Another cover follows, the Grateful Dead's "Franklin's Tower" which also opens up into a nice jam before transitioning into Jed's apocalyptic love song "End Of Time." He dips back into the new album for the set closer "Forgot To Forget You," and tacks on the Down East ditty "Geneva Sue" for the encore. Included with this recording is also a nice soundcheck jam. This is an stellar show with a great setlist that has something for everyone - old Jed tunes, newer Jed tunes, Phish and Dead covers, and numerous exceptional improv jams. A must listen show at one of the gang's favorite venues! Enjoy!
