View NotesThe Wav files for Set II were corrupt and unreadable/unplayable. Set I was at 16bits, 44.1kHz. After listening to parts of Set I it was clear there was something wrong with it also. I read Set II into the DC8.5 Forensics software, and rewrote the header so that it was listed as 16 bits/48kHz. It then played and sounded right. I read in Set I and changed its header so that it was also at 48kHz and the problems were resolved. Both sets were converted to 44.1kHz using triple precision algorithms, no dithering After that, the only processing was a little bit of editing (fade in at the beginning of the show) and some equalization to counter the pre-emphasis and roll the bass off slightly below 100 hz to cut down on the boominess. View Notescrossfades applied for pauses and tape flips please do not judge the PA mix and the room by the first 3 or 4 songs Dan Healy is a mad genius. This fileset, and all other 16/44.1 filesets I plan to upload in my first run through my masters is sourced from a 24/88.2 transfer and is "seamless" AND tailored for CD burning. The fade tracks, ( in2gd84-12-28s2t03fade and out1gd84-12-28s2t04fade ) are labeled to indicate their "position" for CDR burning and to stay out of the way for seamless play from HD or ( gulp ) conversion to mp3. At least I think you don't need the fades for mp3 - I'm just guessing. A parallel 24/96 transfer also was archived. Enjoy this folks, I did. More to follow...
