View NotesJammin Jed returns for a final "pick-up" show on his 2019 Fall Tour. Actually the previous scheduled tour date at Panorama in Secondlife was cancelled, so this is actually a re-booking, and a welcome one at that, since the tour seemed to end abruptly at Hotel Chelsea on November 12th. Lucky for us, Jed was back a few weeks later to rock one last show on the tour, and he makes the most of it. The show opens methodfically with a slow building "Moved To The Country," after which Jed delivers a surprise announcement, which should be followed by a Phish song, but it's "Happy Hour Hero," by moe. instead (in honor of Peach Festival apparently). It opens up into a nice long jam that winds it's way into the bouncy "Where The Mountains Meet The Sea." A December 7th Pearl Harbor dedication comes next with the GuRGLe era "Friendly Burial" and the second heavy jam of the evening, featuring battle sounds on the drums. A debut original follows the fray, an emotive, gingerly tune called "Second Hand Smile," that should evolve nicely in the future. And finally some Phish closes out the set, the Kasvot Vaxt tune and Clueless Wallob theme song "Turtle In The Clouds." After a sip of maple cinnamon apple deliciousness, Jed launches into the highlight of the show, a hot version of his original rocker "Latest Craze" paired with a ten minute jam and another new original song, this one a brooding blues number called "Side Door," which features some intense guitar work from Jed. The party revs back up with "Nothing's Ever Free" featuring yet another good improv jam which melts in the emotional ballad "Feel." But Jed's not done jamming yet, as he slides right into a funky "Sugar Pop," which he extends into one more jam in a night filled with jams. It's a classic pairing with "Brother Love," always a crowd pleaser. The set closer is the energetic travellogue "Ass Gas or Grass," and Jed tacks on a Holiday preview as the encore with "Silver Bells." This was technically the final show on Jed's Fall Tour, and it's probably one of the best ones of the run, featuring a slew of nice jamming, two original debuts and a bevy of fan/phan favorites. Enjoy!
