View NotesJed Luckless returns to Lavender Fields at Feed A Smile in Secondlife for a Giving Tuesday fundraiser for Live & Learn Kenya. This special show raised money specifically for holiday baskets for families and kinds in need. This is one of Jed's last few shows of 2019, and he makes the most of the one set format to stretch out a few nice jams. The show starts out with "Listen To The Angels," easing into things nicely before ramping up with a couple of Phish songs: "No Man In No Man's Land" paired with a nice jam and the Kasvot Vaxt tune "Final Hurrah" (apparently the show was conflicting with a special, live Phish concert at the Met in Philadelphia). Jed's instrumental "Doigter" is up next, followed by the Ricard Brautigan inspired "Catfish Friend," which as always builds to a frenzied peak. Another Phish song by way of the Rolling Stones comes next, the classic rocker "Loving Cup," which fits in nicely as a mid-set closer. A debut cover song continues the extended set, a poignantly pretty tune by Phil Collins called "The Rook is Leaking," played here by Jed on guitar in lieu of piano. It's back to some original music after that, with a pairing of Jed's songs "On Hold," and "Forgot To Forget You," with the second big jam of the night in between. A preview of Jeds upcoming Holiday show features The Weepies' "All That I Want," and Jed closes the show with his upbeat calypso-esque "By And Bye." This is a fun, long set with a couple nice jams, a few great tunes for the Phans out there, and plenty of original rock music from Jammin Jed, all for a good cause. Enjoy!
