View NotesThe Jed Luckless 2019 Fall Tour makes a stop at a first-time venue called The Pretzel Factory for a different kind of show. It's a WJED Radio Broadcast event, featuring two sets of live music from Jammin Jed along with an interactive real-time audience Q&A during the setbreak. The venue was intimate and there was "limited seating" so VIP passes were given out for free ahead of the show to make sure fans had access to the show and the Q&A with Jed. There was a great crowd of devoted Jed Heads in attendance who were asked to submit their questions for Jed during the first set, and moderator Evlish Pretzelley would choose the questions to ask Jed during setbreak. The show opens energetically with a Ginger Baker tribute and the Cream song "Tales Of Brave Ulysses." It's a fun start, and Jed keeps the energy going into his original "Nothing's Ever Free" opening it up into a nice long jam before a segue into "On The Shelf" which features a powerful mid section solo. The pastoral GuRGLe era tune "Open Road" mellows things out next, before Jed cranks it up again with the bouncy "Each And Every Day" paired with another first jam and the bluegrass ditty "Forgot To Forget You" to close it out. Setbreak features an interactive Q&A with Jed, featuring questions from the audience about his guitars, his role models and his astrological sign. It was a fun intermission and a chance to get intimate with Jammin Jed! The vibe was nice after the special setbreak, and the set opens sweetly with a combination of Jed tunes featuring "Slowly Fades" and "Uprooted" with the longest jam of night sandwiched between them. A very nice version of the instrumental soundtrack tune "The Hairdresser" is up next, and it's followed by a special anniversary dedication to Phil and Julie Burkett whose wedding in Alaska Jed played at live from a thousand miles away in NYC! Here, he puts together the Phish song "Alaska" with their Grateful Dead wedding song "They Love Each Other." Jed closes out the show with a fan favorite rocker from Led Zeppelin, "Over The Hills and Far Away." This is a special show at an intimate venue with alot of fan interaction that amped up the energy in the place and made for a night full of high powered tunes and rockin jams. Enjoy!
