View NotesHere's one from the waning days of the Jed Luckless 2019 World Tour! It's the tour stop at La Fabrik in France, a return to the venue for the third time on Jed tour. La Fabrik is a small eclectic club in Secondlife and it was early in the day at The Jedstead, but the place was packed, bristling with energy and on fire with an awesome light show from Moondance Parx. Jed opens, of course, with his "only French song" called "Doigter," a nice instrumental that lets the show get airborne gently. Jed and Moonie accelerate during the "Catfish Friend" solo, and keep it going with a twenty-plus minute "Doesn't" into "Feel," a powerful combo that was repeated earlier in the tour. A nice version of the Mark Gutenplan song "Road Trip" closes out the first half. It's only a five song set, but Jed packs in some great tunes and some nice jams. After a brief break, Jed and Moonie hit the stage again, opening with the west coast rocker "Latest Craze" and the other big jam of the night, which features a nice drum solo and some rocking guitar riffs. It winds it's way into the quiet "Come Tomorrow" from Jed's "Luna Suite." An instrumental piece from Jed's SIght & Sound show is next, called "Los Angeles" in keeping with the west coast theme. There's time for one more jam, and it's in between "On Hold" and "Uprooted," two more repeats from earlier in the tour. Jed closes the set in true rock & roll fashion with the Rolling Stone's "Loving Cup," and he tacks on a sweet "Show of Life" encore, the wonderfully poignant song by Trey Anastasio. This is a really strong show from Jed's 2019 World Tour, probably in the top five. The setlist might not look that exciting, but it's a tight concert with music and lights dialed in on an energetic crowd and Jed and Moonie channeling the vibe. It's got great examples of standard Jed originals, some fiery jams and a few choice cover tunes that are worth a listen. Enjoy!
