View NotesThe Jed Luckless 2019 World Tour in Secondlife continues, with show number 11 on the tour, a late night affair at a first time venue called "Villa Lobos." Jed was joined by Moondance on lights, and it was another show with strange and different energies, the result of unfamiliar times and spaces. It was supposed to be a single set, but since the subsequent performer didn't make it, Jed Heads got treated to a short second set.

The show starts off strongly with the rocker "Give It Back," always good for a mesmerizing light show and some heavy improvisation. The jam segues into a Memorial Day dedication, Jed's original "Bring Our Brothers Home." The vibe gets intense next with the prog-rock-esque "Multiply" followed by a rare cover, the George Morton song "Walking In The Sand" made famous in 1964 by The Shangri-La's. Jed puts an interesting take on it, and pairs it up with a trancey jam and the seemingly perfect partner, the pop-single "Still In Luv With U." The short bouncy "Used To Feel Good," closes the set, with all four originals in set one being repeats on the tour.

That was supposed to be it, with a performer named Stay Away Joe meant to follow Jed, but stay away Joe did, and Jed performed a short second set. It was "After Midnight" at that point at The Jedstead, so it makes for a great opener to the set, and Jed milks it for one more improv jam of the night, before a segue into his mellow and reflective original "Own." The calypso style gospel "By And Bye" ends the set, with a Trey Anastasio cover for the encore, the powerful "Architect."

This is a strange show, performed late at night, in a dark corner of the virtual globe, surrounded by wolves. There are a few nice jams, and the Shangri-La's tune is intriguing. The highlight might be the the "After Midnight" jam or the "Architect" encore. Enjoy!
