View NotesThe Jed Luckless 2019 World Tour keeps on rollin, this time into Dublin for a return to The Blarney Stone in Secondlife! It's Jed's 33rd show at the venue and it's always a good time. The psychedelic light show is absent at this Irish Bar, but the house was packed and the vibe was energetic. It's a cover heavy show, opening with the Mark Gutenplan song "Englishtown," which is oftened played by the Jed Luckless Band. Jed eases right into a nice bouncy jam to warm up the room, which winds it's way effortlessly into a really nice version of the Beatle's "Dear Prudence." Jed's original "The Wane" provides a nice breather after an effervescent start to the show, but he quickly kicks it back up with the GuRGLe era rocker "Friendly Burial," which provides one of the juicy jams of the night. It's a dark funky affair with and a steady backbeat and biting guitar licks that transforms and takes off into a nice glide before settling into another cover tune, a surprising Lynyrd Skynyrd song "Curtis Loew," not played by Jed since 9/15/15 at Hotel Chelsea SL. It features some hot slide guitar work and closes out the first set nicely. Second set opens with an original song of Jed's called "Each And Every Day," and it's paired with his rocker "Give It Up" and a couple nice jams to provide a good thirty minutes of music to start the set. It's back to covers next with the rare Phish cover "Fast Enough For You" and the ever-popular Cailidgh Spires "The Song With Words And Stuff." It's a hard stop at the Blarney, so a short "Used To Feel Good," wraps up the festivities. This is another great show on a fun and rocking tour from Jed Luckless, and it features a few outstanding covers, some deep cuts from the Jed catalog and a couple sweet jams. Enjoy!
