View NotesThe Jed Luckless 2019 World Tour rolls on through Secondlife, with this show from May 8th, 2019 at Helle's Angels in Denmark! It's the third show on Jed's "mission to bring high-energy original rock music to Europe and the world" and while it features some energetic jams and alot of original music, it feels a bit like the jet lag has kicked in. The show starts off slowly with a down tempo "Water Glass," featuring a jam section that provides a nice warm-up. The quiet "All The Same" is next, followed by the vibrant "Doesn't" which includes one of the hotter jams of the show, a pulsating rhythm with hot licks that slides into the emotional "Feel." Jed "introduces Europe to Phish with a PH," closing out the set with a funky version of Trey Anastasio's "Sand" paired with the poignant Phish tune "Dirt." After a brief setbreak (and commercial!), Jed is back for second set, opening it up with a calculated "Multiply" designed to give way to the other sweet jam of the show, a bouncy and uplifting jam with some mind-bending guitar work. While some in the audience probably thought the jam just went on, it actually transitions to an instrumental called "Flood" from Jed's Sight & Sound Experience "The Eye." Then, unexpectedly deep into the show, Jed drops an original debut on the crowd, a reggae-ish song called "Hurtful Things." It seems to go nicely with "Some Notes On Lying" which follows. The show wraps up abruptly with "Where The Mountain Meets The Sea," and a too-short version of the usually rocking "Kid That Tried To Fly." Jed's World Tour was still gaining altitude as it headed through Denmark, and this show is a mixed bag, but definitely worth a listen for the "Doesn't" jam, a hot version of "Sand" and the new Jed tune, "Hurtful Things." Enjoy!
