View NotesThe Jed Luckless 2019 World Tour continues in Secondlife and live from The Jedstead studios! It's the second show on the tour and the first stop in Europe, at a Secondlife venue called AdMiRe in The Netherlands. The venue is a replication of the cathedral style building where live SL Dutch Jams are hosted, so it is a holy place for music and Jed takes the gang to church! Jed is joined by Moondance Parx on the digital light show and the pair open with one of their favorites "Give It Back," not typically a show opener, but a great way to ramp up the energy quickly. Jed throttles it back a bit for "Own," before opening it up again with the D&D song "Alignments" and the first juicy jam of the show. It segues into Jed's debut of a cover tune called "On And On We Go," by McKean Sinkler, a bouncy tune with a rocking jam of it's own. The instrumental soundtrack piece "The Hairdresser" is up next, always fun to whistle along to, and Jed sings the "Far Gone Blues" to wrap up the first set. Second opens with the popular "Victim Of The Rhythm," usually good for producing a rocking jam, and this one is no exception - Jed is dialed in on the leads, on guitar and piano. VOTR is commonly paired with a slow tune, and this time Jed pairs it with "Begging For Mercy." It could use a few prayers as it's not the most nuanced version of this beautiful song. But Jed recovers quickly with "The Constable" from his "Luna" suite and it generates the second hot jam of the set, an organ driven rocker with soaring guitar riffs and biting tone. The jam fades but it's not quite over, as we're treated to short but high energy drum solo from Jed on the kit. The drums give way to the escalating pulse of "The Lightship," which is a bit stormy this time out. At the tour opener, Jed played a cut from one of his Sight & Sound Experience shows, and he rolls another one out here, "Rise" from the "Eco" show. It rolls right into the set closer, the pop single "Still In Luv With U." A short encore pays tribute to the movies "Apocalypse Now" and "This Is Spinal Tap" with covers of The Doors "The End" and Spinal Tap's "Gimme Some Money." This is a high energy show on the road in Europe featuring a bevy of Jed Luckless originals, some super-hot jams and a couple nice first time covers. The tour rolls on! Enjoy!
