View NotesJammin Jed's 2023 Winter Tour hits its final leg with the first of two shows at Gonja Land in Secondlife! Despite Jed feeling a bit under the weather, the show goes on as planned, and he delivers two solid sets of original rock music and jams, accompanied by an incredible light show by Moondance Parx. The show opens with the Frazier Sinkler collaboration "Water Glass," always a great way to get a show from zero to sixty quickly with its rocking jam section. Jed pulls it bak a bit next with the lenghty composed tune "Second Hand Smile," with its various movements and vibes. Jed uses his instrumental "Doigter" to ease back into things, and at this point he and Moonie are in complete sync, turning the venue into a beautiful shimmering pool of light and sound. They get gritty next with the adolescent love song "Worthless Emotion," before launching into the highlight of the set, the fan favorite Covid era rocker "The Last Show," extended to the longest jam of the night, a dramatic rhythm with decisvie guitar that transitions into the more somber "Begging For Mercy." Jed closes the set with the upbeat Phish ditty "My Sweet One," complete with cat story about "Axilla the Mexico Kitty." Second set starts off with the debut of a cover of Second Life artist June Stormcrow's tune "The Meadow," which Jed ramps up with his typical rocking style. He continues rocking with "Each And Every Day" which opens up into the other extended jam of the night, a serious beat with nice keyboards and guitar riffs. The love song from Jed's Luna Suite "Oh My Star" emerges from the cosmic dust, followed by the crowd pleaser "Throw It Down The Hill," which features a nice interlude with bass guitar synth. The Velvet Underground's "Rock And Roll" puts a nice exclamation on the set, and Jed follows it up with an encore tribute for Burt Baccarach with "Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head." Also included with the recording here is Jed's soundcheck jam. Considering Jed's state of health, he brings the heat and delivers a show full of great versions of favorite tunes such as "Doigter," "The Last Show," and "Throw It Down The Hill." Combine that with a couple choice jams and a few fun covers and you've got a show well worth a listen! Enjoy!
