View NotesHere's one from Jed's "500 tour" in 2018, a stop at New Brighton Pier in Secondlife, which is a UK-based venue Jed had played once before on his Europe Tour. It's always a different energy when it's a daytime show, and the first set takes some time to get off the ground. It starts strong with Jed's bouncy pop original "Nothing's Ever Free," but gets a bit lost during the next few tunes, "Outside Looking In," "The Need For Love," and "Nothing Left To Say," all great Jed originals that are not really done justice here. Things get fun next with a tribute to Stan Lee and the "Spider-Man Theme" which also features a nice "Iron Man" tease within it. The Moe song "Happy Hour Hero" is up next with a nice backbeat, and the first lonfg jam of the night, finally bringing some energy into the show. The set warps up nicely with a clap-infused "Forgot To Forget You." Jed must have had a good setbreak, because second set rocks right out of the gate with "Each And Every Day" featuring the longest jam of the night and paired with the beautiful "Own." The bluesy "Old Town Hall" is in the mid-set slot, followed by a sweet "Sugar Pop" complete with drums and one more nice improv jam, before switching into a Gregg Allman tribute with "Sweet Melissa." The set ends abruptly during an otherwise nice "Kid That Tried To Fly" when Jed's guitar cuts out suddenly. He quickly wraps up the show with a Rolling Stones encore of "Loving Cup" featuring some nice guitar interplay. This is an odd show across the pond on a non-Europe tour, but it does feature a few nice jams and a fun comic book tribute. Enjoy!
