View Notes"Are you ready to be swept away by The Eye?" Here is a very special show from the "Sight & Sound" series of concerts produced and performed by Jed Luckless and the light artists at Sky Fire (Particle Tom and Lexi Marshdevi). "The Eye" took place at Panorama in Secondlife on April 16, 2018, and took the audience on a journey though the power of nature. This was the fifth show in the series, and as always it was only performed once and featured two acts of all improvisational music accompanied by a light show of images colors and motion. The show starts off with a powerful rhythm and tribal chant that transports the audience into the eye of the "Hurricane." The storm drifts from land to sea as it turns into a tropical and melodic "Typhoon." Water continues to be the theme as the typhoon builds to a wavy "Tsunami" filled with bouncy swells and slide guitar and then crashes on the shore turning into a "Flood" with a driving beat and swirling guitar leads. The storm makes land and quickly turns into an "Earthquake" driven by drum beats and punctuated guitars. The land continues to give way in "Landslide" and the act finale "Sinkhole," during which entire audience was lowered lowered into darkness! The second act starts off hot, with an erupting "Volcano" and a rampant "Fire" before cooling down with an electrical surge of "Lightning." The show takes off into a "Tornado" featuring a chaotic mix of sound that gives way to a ritualistic "Hailstorm" (kind of a partner to first set's "Hurricane"). A "Blizzard" rolls in and it's not bikini weather anymore. A hip jam with keyboard solo blows through an "Avalanche" cascades over the audience with a wall of sound. After all this chaos and destruction, comes the finale "Renewal," an upbeat and hopeful number that brings the journey to an energetic close. The cast performs one more encore number, and as usual it's the super fun Cailidgh Spires tune "The Song With Words And Stuff." "The Eye" is another fantastic "Sight & Sound" performance by Jed Luckless and Sky Fire, and the music is a perfect representation of the visuals and the theme. The improvisational technique is outstanding and Jed rocks the house as always, with a mix of ambient mood music, rhythmic beats and fiery jams that evoke the powerful forces of nature! Enjoy!
