View NotesThe JLB returns for round two at Panorama in Secondlife as part of a three show spring run in June 2018. Colorful Kenny Kaufman was absent from the proceedings, but the multi-talented Mark Gutenplan fills in on bass, special guest Chris Napolitano sits in on the keys and drummer Pete Martine keeps it all going from behind the kit. The lineup change makes for an interesting show, full of rarties, debuts and some sweet jams. It's a cover heavy show and the band "eases into things" off the bat with a groovy rendition of the Grateful Dead's "New Speedway Boogie." The originals come in quickly though, with the Luckless original "I Love You" spawing one of the early jams of the evening before launching into the JLB debut of Jed's "Old Town Hall." The boys turn to Phish next, with "Chalkdust Torture" and "Get Back On The Train" bookending one of the hottest jams of the night. The bouncy JLB original "Forgot To Forget You" closes an energetic first set. Second set brings a second helping of Phish, kicking off with a juicy "Wolfman's Brother." Two more JLB debuts come next, with a pair of Jed Luckless originals "On Hold" and "It Ain't Living." A fun set of covers follows, with "Hard To Handle," a song played many times solo by Jed, but never by JLB, and "Dear Mr. Fantasy" with Mark on the vocals. There's still one more JLB debut in the set, the title track from Jed's 2016 album "Roll Over." A rockin "After Midnight" and 'cool-down' "Soulshine" wrap up the show. This is a high energy show, with an intersting lineup change that makes for some fun covers, a few great jams and a ton of new original JLB material! Enjoy!
