View NotesThe Jed Luckless Band is back, closing out their 2018 Fall Tour with a stop at the virtual Hotel Chelsea in Secondlife. It was two years since the band's last visit to the classic venue, and they seem glad to be back, delivering a tasty show full of JLB originals and some great covers.

First set opens with the dueling guitar riffs of "Far Gone Blues," setting a nice smooth vibe for the evening. The boys notch it up quickly though, launching into the jam-oriented "Give It Back" coupled with the high-octane "Maserati" along with a short but exciting jam. The Mark Gutenplan day-dreamer "Remember This Night" is up next. JLB likes to jam this tune out, and they do it again here with a manic vibe and punk-y feel that gives way to the bouncy Luckless ditty "Used To Feel Good." The first cover song of the evening appears next,  a nice dedication to the venue with String Cheese Incident's "Hotel Window." The cannabis themed "Brother Love" closes out the first set.

After a short break the boys return to the stage ready to rock, launching into a down and dirty version of "Victim Of The Rhythm" that opens up into a heavy duty jam. It's the longest of the night and after getting a bit sinister it slides seamlessly into the next cover of the night, the Talking Head's "Cities" led by Kenny Kaufman. "Cities" spawns the other sweet jam of the show, which features some killer guitar work from Jed and a sweet melodic improv. Ken stays at the mic for "FM Rock" next, paired with a John Lennon birthday tribute featuring "Imagine." Jed's song "Moved To The Country" finds a mid-set placement, and as usual the band enjoys playing with the song's intro. A powerful combo of the intense "2000 Pikes" and the dramatic "Valley Of The Saints" gives Pete Martine a chance to shine on the skins, and Jed's pseudo-calypso tune "By and Bye" puts a perfect exclamation point on the affair.

This is another great JLB show that capped off one of their best tours to date. Enjoy!
