View NotesThe Jed Luckless Band makes a long overdue return to the DarkStar sim in Secondlife for this 2018 Fall Tour concert chock full of Deady goodness, deep jams and a great mix of JLB originals.

The show opens appropriately with Mark Gutenplan's "Englishtown" which is about the Grateful Dead show at Raceway Park, NJ in 1977. The song gives way to a sohrt jam and the traditional transition into "I Know You Rider," the first of several Dead covers that would fill the setlist. Jed's cannabitune "Brother Love" is up next followed by a rocking version of another Jed original "Victim of The Rhythm." It produces the first deep jam of the night, which flirts with "Saw Mill River" before jumping fully into the Kenny Kaufman rocker. The middle section gives way naturally to the Dead's "The Other One," which the band belts out in psychedlic fashion before repirsing Saw Mill River. A brief "Far Gone Blues" follows, and the set wraps up with a nice pairing of Mark's "FM Rock" with the Dead's rock classic "Truckin'."

Second set starts off DarkStar style with "Shakedown Street" and the band rocks the Dead tune into a sweet jam that slides effortlessly back to their originals into "Listen To The Angels." The racey instrumental "Maserati" hugs the curves next, and the driving beat continues right into "Give It Back" which features a U.F.O. inspired jam that is out of this world. Jed's instrumental "Valley Of The Saints" emerges perfectly out of the mist and he rocks a melodic solo with a bit of James Bond in the mix. The fan popular "Moved To The Country" makes its entry next with its typical buildup and bittersweet storyline, but features an not so typical jam that leads nicely into the upbeat "Used To Feel Good" to close the set. The band tacks on a "First Tube" encore in honor Phish's YEMSG announcement. 

This is a fantastic high energy show from the JLB featuring several outstanding jams, some great versions of new and old originals and a number of Grateful Dead covers for the Heads at DarkStar. Enjoy!
