View NotesThe JLB is back for another mini-run in Secondlife at Panorama! This is the first of three shows on Tuesdays in June of 2018, and it's a special anniervarsy show for the band, celebrating two years since Pete Martine joined JLB on drums. To commemorate the occasion, the band re-creates the setlist from their first show together on 6/7/16. The boys get off to a tight start with "Queen Lucille" opening the festivities. The show takes off quickly with a high-energy run run of JLB originals. Jed's "Victim Of The Rhythm" is like a booster rocket, and Mark Gutenplan's "Englishtown" features a nice keyboard interlude. The instrumental "Valley of the Saints" gives Pete a chance to shine with the tribal beats. It's nearly thirty minutes of non stop music, but there's only a brief breath before the breakfast anthem "Sugar Pop" launches, with Kenny Kaufman laying down a funky beat. A couple of Jed originals wrap up the first set. The second set continues with JLB re-creating the setlist from their 6/7/16 show, which featured Trey Anastasio's "Sand" as the set opener. A nice jam leads into Bob Dylan's "All Along The Watchtower" with the band rotating on the vocal duties. Jed's futuristic "Ozone Blues" is up next, followed by the 'historical' song "Brother Love." Ken is featured on his co-penned original "Saw Mill River" which slides into David Bowie's "Space Oddity," an old favorite of the JLB. The show ends abruptly and without a few of the songs from the anniversary setlist, but the band has put more than enough energy into what's here. It's a fun romp through the past and another great show and milestone in the JLB jamstory! Enjoy!
