View NotesHere's one off Jammin Jed's "Back Again" tour from winter 2018. It's his March 11th stop at The Blarney Stone in Secondlife, the always fun Irish bar venue that packs in the crowd and heats up the room! This show, while short, is no exception, with an intensity all its own. As with all the shows on this tour, Jed opens with "Back Again" an original off his 2010 "All At Once" album. An unrecorded original is next, the historically telling "2000 Pikes," which delivers the first nice jam of the night. It segues into a nice version of the instrumental "Outside Looking In," the title song from a documentary film soundtrack. An early Jed rocker "The Need For Love" pops up next, followed by the GuRGLe era "Friendly Burial," which erupts into the highlight jam of set one, featuring a bouncy rhythm and a nice ambient transition. The all originals set wraps up with a brief version of "On Hold." Jed doesn't waste any time rocking the second set, opening with a fifteen minute version of the pop-rocker "Nothing's Ever Free" with "Andy Griffith in the air" and a sweet jam that slides into an upbeat version of the otherwise mellow "Uprooted." Some "dark energies" being to swirl, with the combination of "Multiply" and "The Story of Shirtless Joe" but the highlight jam of the show is trapped between them and it is intense and awesome. Jed hits the "Open Road," before riding off into the sunset on an 80's encore featuring the Go-Go's "Our Lips Are Sealed." This is a short but high energy show at a favorite venue, featuring two full sets of Jed Luckless originals, a couple of fantastic jams and a fun encore. Enjoy!
