View NotesThis is the opening show from Jammin Jed's 2018 "Back Again" Tour which took place in March and April of that year. The opener was on a Wednesday night, March 7th at DarkStar in Secondlife. Like all the shows on the "Back Again" tour, this one opens with "Back Again," a bouncy single off Jed's 2010 "All At Once" album. Another cut from that album follows, the brooding but hopeful "Sunlight." The unreleased rocker "Give It Up" pops up next (not to be confused with "Give It Back" which is absent from this show). The surprise of the show comes next - a 17 minute first-set "Smile Forever" that starts out bumpy, but Jed agrees to "roll with it" and does he ever, right into a kick ass solo and jam featuring a keyboard/guitar duel that explodes abruptly into Jed's pop-rock "Still In Luv With U." We're treated to the French language instrumental "Doigter" next, and jed warps up the set of originals with his "Far Gone Blues." A rare "Luna" opens second set, the title track from Jed's "Luna Suite" which features a beautiful intro and jazzy melodies. And then Jed revs it up with "Alignments" off his 2016 "Roll Over" album. The "D&D" song as its known, gives way to a rockin jam that finds it's way into a trotting "One And" which of course is paired with Jed's 'cowboy tune,' "Ride With The Devil." The final hot jam of the night arises out of "Latest Craze," Jed's commentary on LA consumerism, which features some wicked reverse guitar action. It's coupled nicely with a retreat from the chaotic city to "Moved To The Country." The beautifully reflective "Time And Tide" and the fun and bouncy "Forgot to Forget" close out another full set of original music. The encores on Jed's "Back Again" tour were all eighties songs, taking the audience "back again" to the greatest of decades. opening show featured Tommy Tutone's "867-5309" which is a super fun way to end the night. This is hot show full of Jed Luckless originals and smoking jams that kicked off a fantastic six-show run. Definitely worth checking out, especially that extra long "Smile Forever." Enjoy!
