Source from Doug Oade: 90 degree, 17cm Schoeps CMC441s at Sbd into an Oade power supply > modified Sony TCD-D5M. Later, Sony TCD-D5M > DAW (via SEKD Prodif) > Wav16/44 (set 1) & 16/48 (set 2); Transfer and mastering by droncit 4/29/2014
Taper Notes:
View NotesSet I transferred at 16/44.1; Set 2 transferred at 16/48. Set I speed was off; used a curvilinear change to get it to match the average of three other sources. In addition to the speed change, set 1 was modified by paragraphic and spectral filter equalization to increase presence. Tracking and very light editing (fade-ins and fade-outs as necessary). Set II had no speed issues and was not changed except for tracking and very slight editing (fade-ins and fade-outs) as necessary, and conversion to 44.1kHz to maintain consistency between the two sets. Patches: Last few minutes of Althea and first few minutes of Hell in a Bucket had irreparable static and echo/feedback noise. These and the crowd between them patched with SHNID 91464. Approximately 2 minutes of space was also patched with SHNID 91464. Thanks to Doug Oade & Jim Wise for making this beautiful recording available. metadata added BCE Collaboration [email protected]
