Matrix by Hunter Seamons using Final Cut Pro (FLAC > AIFF > Final Cut > Soundtrack > AIFF CD tracking via Audacity > FLAC16 via xACT w/meta-tagging)
Taper Notes:
View NotesNotes: Something happened with the SBD tape, beginning with Terrapin Station, where the speed fluctuated much more heavily and frequently, making the project about three times as difficult and requiring much smaller increments to work with. Also, the weird "mid-80's" static in the mix during the second set affected the speed/position slightly at times. I had not worked on a matrix as difficult as this since 9/9/72 (Vol. 64). All this being the case, the second half of the matrix is not quite as stable as the first half, but still pretty good overall. Soundtrack Pro was used to remove several digital anomalies.

Taper Notes:
View NotesMy seat was in the center, but far back and under the roof of the mezzanine. This resulted in the tape sounding a bit distant, and with a ton of audience noise. This tape is definitely of the "warts-n-all" variety, but I decided to release it since the circulating sbd is muffled and has static, and I haven?t yet found a good audience upgrade. d2t07: There was a moment when the drummers left and the stage was empty while they wheeled out the Thunder Machine. I used this opportunity to flip the tape. d3t05: The little wind-down jam at the end of Miracle is cut where I faded and changed tapes. I managed to get it done before the start of Morning Dew. d3t08: The band skipped Sunshine Daydream and went straight to Brokedown.

View Notes1st set and encore are missing. This is a fantastic show to listen to as an AUD. The Scarlet->Touch in particular shows off a hot audience in a small venue. They greet the opening of Scarlet warmly; at the end Phil drives everyone into Touch, making a left turn away from Fire (listen for it), and when Jerry jumps on it, the howls of glee that greeted its' arrival are fantastic to hear. Also, the bombs in the Other One, Jerry's multiple solos, the montrous Morning Dew...the full picture of band and audience exponentially increases my listening pleasure during this set.
