View NotesPlayers: Charles Atkins - keyboards and vocals Larry Laseur - harmonica and claps Notes: This session is just a lot of fun. These are of few of the children's songs Charles was working on. With a very blusey feel, and quite delightful. To hear Charles sing the alphabet - in Greek - what a hoot! I remember asking how he came up with that and he said something about having recorded The Alphabet Song (back on May 6) and wanted another version. Rock-a-Baby certainly hits a groove. Larry does some very tasteful work, just the right touch. Mockingbird Song, the last 3 tracks are all good. The first take he's remembering the words; the second is funny when he goofs and he's "got to get it right". The last take is right on and Charles is happy. Everyone smile.
