View NotesThe 2022 Jed Luckless Tour makes it's first time appearance Secondlife's The Shack in the U.K. with his partner in crime Lexus Melodie joining him for the last of three shows they played together billed as the "Meet Me In London Tour." Like the previous two shows, the duo delivers an awesome mix of originals and covers.

The first set features both Jed and Lexus and opens with "Naive" by the Kooks, with some nice vocal interplay. Stephen Fretwell's "Run" is up next, with some great melodic guitar work complimenting the singing. After the brief story of their first meeting, the duo launch into The Verve's "Drugs Don't Work," with some heavy distortion cutting through on Jed's lead, followed by the more mellow "Meet Me In London," which really highlights these two performers ability to play and sing well together. Jed switches to the drum kit to back up Lexus on her original "Eliminate," and the pair close their set out with a beautiful rendition of Kodaline's "All I Want."

Second set is a solo Jed set, and it kicks off with his rocker "Homewrecker," followed by the quiet instrumental "Outside Looking In." The first of two big jams of the night comes next, erupting out of Jed's original "Give It Up." The jam has a nice composed rhtyhm to it which builds to peak before a segue into the bluesy, serious "Side Door." Jed lifts the mood back up with "Latest Craze," featuring a solid solo section with a "Bathtub Gin" tease and squeezing one more improv jam into the show, which features some nice synth lines, machine gun guitar riffs and a killer key shift and an "Andy Griffith" tease. The blue grassy clap fest "Forget To Forget You" closes out the set. The encore features a tribute to Jed's cousin Doofus Luckless and Jed's debut cover of Doof's poignant original "This Longing" followed by the J. Geil's Band "Centerfold" to put a fun exclamation point on the evening.

This is a super high energy show at a packed venue, topping off an amazing collaboration between Jed and Lexus Melodie. While Jed struggles with guitar tunings here and there, he manages to deliver an otherwise inspired evening of orginals, covers and jams, and the duet set leaves us wanting more from these two musical powerhouses.
