View NotesAfter finishing up a run of shows that included Lexus Melodie, the Jed Luckless 2022 Europe Tour goes solo at the French venue Taniz in Secondlife! While the shows with Lexus were super fun and different, it's great to have Jed back for a full two set face melter! Jed opens up with the prog-rocker "Water Glass," which is always a great way to amp up the crowd with it's extended solo section. He pulls back on the reigns a bit next with the pastoral "Open Road," followed by the sentimental "Jackie." It's back to rocking next with "Send Me A Package," which although not the tightest version of this newer tune, it does spawn the first massive jam of the night, which features a nice synth solo and killer guitar lines over a cool key change. It segues nicely into "Smile Forever," and Jed delivers a beautiful version of the fan favorite. The Arabic inspired "Valley Of The Saints" rises next with it's tribal drum rhythm, and is followed by the upbeat "Used To Feel Good," to close the first frame. Second set is a doozy. You know it's good when it's a four song set clocking in at fifty eight minutes. It starts out with the common second set opener and jam vehicle "Victim Of The Rhythm," which gets a great, trippy treatment on it's opening segment, delivers a solid version of the core song, and opens up into a backbeat driven jam with layered guitars and keys that runs for over a half hour and includes a hidden "Carini" tease before a key change and seamless transition into "Uprooted," which is the perfect cool down for what just happened. The song built for two "Secret Language" is up next, followed by the bouncy set closer, "Doesn't," which features an extended solo section that soars with guitar lines recalling Steely Dan. A double encore includes the GuRGLe era "Cash Me In," followed by the crowd pleasing closer "The Song With Words And Stuff" by Cailidgh Spires. Given that there weren't many full solo Jed shows on this year's Europe Tour, this is probably the standout performance. It's a show full of energy with some massive jamming and great versions of classic Jed tunes. Definitely a must listen show. Enjoy!
