View NotesJed Luckless is back with his 14th annual Holiday Revue! The 2022 Holiday Revue took place on December 22, 2022 at the famous Hotel Chelsea venue in Second Life. It was Jed's 54th show at the venue, so it makes for a nostalgic show full of friends and good memories. And of course a good cause, close to Jed's heart: Hero Initiative which helps struggling comic book artists. Jed opens the show appropriately with his debut of "I Don't Know What Christmas Is" from the Guardians Of The Galaxy Christmas Special. The Rudolph classic "Holly Jolly Christmas" is up next, followed by Jed's always rockin versoin of "Deck The Halls" complete with a 'Drummer Boy' tease. This year overlaps with Hannukah so Jed treats us to his 2018 updated version of Adam Sandler's "Hannukah Song." He goes deep on the next cut with a Coltran-esque version of "Favorite Things," with a solid jam. "Joy To The World" is up next, followed by a dedication to Shyla the host with "The Christmas Song" to close out the first frame. After a brief setbreak featuring information on the Hero Initiative charity, Jed launches into "Feliz Navidad," followed by another debut this year, Dolly Parton's "I Believe In Santa Claus," which is a little shaky, but hopefully makes a repeat appearance in the coming years. A "Dreidel Dreidel" Iko Iko mashup lightens the mood before "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" comes in to choke Jed up a bit. A repeat from last year follows with "Put One Foot In Front Of the Other," followed by "Most Wonderful Time Of The Year," which Jed sends out to his Mom. The pious "Hark The Herald Angels Sing" give rise to a surprise jam that slides seamlessly into "We Wish You A Merry Christmas," before "Run Run Rudolph" races in to end the set. The two song encore features two original Jed tunes, the always emotional "Christmas Night" for Papa Jed and the always fun and irreverant "Merry Christmas Asshole." It's another great, fun holiday outing for a good cause, featuring a lenghty mix of great tunes, a few nice jams and a couple of awesome new additions. Happy holidays and enjoy!
