View NotesThe 2022 Jed Luckless Europe Tour jumps across the channel to France for a show at The Night Owl venue in Secondlife! With transportation what it is, Jed was running late and hit the stage rights before showtime, but he's always ready to rock and this is the first full solo show on the tour (the previous two shows were a shared bill). Jed eases into the show with the mellow "Time And Tide," but quickly rocks it up with the indie-rocker "Always Alone." Being in France, "Doigter" makes an expected appearance next, followed by "Each And Every Day," which spawns the first big jam of the night. It's a long and bouncy improv featuring some ghostly keys and monstrous guitar sounds that give way to the emotional "Feel." The reggae style admonisher "Hurtful Things" follows, with the up-tempo "Ass Gas or Grass" closing out the first frame. Second set starts out with "Give It Back," a frequent position for the song which usually gets jammed out lengthily. It does not disappoint here with a thirty minute jam that starts out funky and then explodes with dissonant distored guitar riffs, before a major key change and segue into "Moved To The Country." It's a short version of the song and "The 86" is right on it's heels, with its ascending guitar solo section extending to thirteen minutes before it comes down. The quirky fan favorite "Throw It Down The Hill" closes out the set. The double encore features a couple of covers, Led Zeppelin's "Over The Hills And Far Away," and the always fantastic show ender, Phish's "First Tube." Jet lag is a real thing even on virtual tours! But Jed rises to the occasion and delivers a fun show with some wild jams, a few tunes we don't hear too often and a couple versions of more popular tunes well worth a listen like "Doigter" and "The 86." Enjoy!
