View NotesJLB closes out their March Madness 2022 run with this high energy show at The Dome in Secondlife, featuring an amazing light show by Moondance Parx and performed to a packed crowd of nearly fifty! The show started late, but once they began, they did it perfectly, with the Cailidgh Spires rocker "The Song With Words And Stuff." Jed's mellow "On Hold" follows, and it's a very nice take on a song only played twice before by the band. After a brief update on the March Madness Picks contest, Kenny Kaufman takes the mic to lead the band through the Talking Heads song "Cities," which spawns a nice funky jam. "The Story Of Shirtless Joe" emerges from it, another song only played twice before. Jed treats the audience to the true story behind the song, before Kenny steps up again on the Grateful Dead's "Loser." The title track from Jed's 2010 album "All At Once" is up next, followed by the up tempo "Forgot To Forget You," which is fun and energetic despite Jed busting a string. After a brief setbreak, the band takes the stage for the final frame of their four show run and kicks things into overdrive with a high octane version of the fan favorite instrumental "Maserati." The boys slow things down with a mellow stroll through the Phish tune "Sand," which flows into the longest jam of the night featuring syncopated guitar riffs over a driving back beat laid down by Pete Martine. Jed's semi-instrumental "Umbrella Man" shows up just in time for some virtual rain to roll in over the venue and cool things down. The Mark Gutenplan original "FM Rock" makes an appearance next, and it merges nicely with a classic rock cover of Traffic's "Dear Mr. Fantasy." Jed's "By and Bye" is perfect in the set closing position and a double dose of Phish for the encore features the Rolling Stones song "Shine A Light" paired with the "First Tube," a fantastic way to end a high energy night of music. This is a show with energy off the charts, and a band that is absolutely having a great time. It features a great setlist of vintage originals, newer tunes, classic covers and a couple of great jams. An amazing end to a great run of shows and a must hear...enjoy!
