View NotesJLB is back for their 2022 March Madness run! This annual run has become a tradition amongst JLB fans, as it takes place during the NCAA championship and always features some fun bracket-type contest and prizes. This year it's a pick the song contest in order to win some great JLB schwag including a signed event poster! It's a four show run, and this is the opening round at Panorama in Secondlife. The show tips off gently with "The Freeze," as the band eases into playing for the first time in nearly six months. They kick it up quickly though with "2000 Pikes" which opens up into a nice jam before a seamless segue into "Moved To The Country." The space age cautionary tale "Ozone Blues" is up next, followed by a groove oriented version of the JLB rocker "Sugar Pop." It has a great vibe to it, and the band opens it up into another extended jam with another smooth transition, this time into "Far Gone Blues." The bouncy "Where The Mountains Meet The Sea" closes out the first set. Second set opens with the band favorite combo "Victim Of The Rhythm" paired with "Smile Forever." The jam in between is the longest of the night featuring some trippy guitar riffs from Jed and fantastic beats laid down by Pete Martine on the drums. Mark Gutenplan's "Road Trip" rolls out next, followed by Jed's folksy "Old Town Hall." One of the newer JLB tunes follows, the indie rock sounding "Always Alone," which spawns one last improv jam before yet another perfect transition into "Still In Luv With U" to close the set. Kenny Kaufman leads a powerful "Character Zero" encore, the only cover tune of the night, to close out the show. This is a consistently great JLB show with fantastic sound and a band that is firing on all cylinders. If you're a fan of JLB's original songs, this is for you as it only feature one cover the whole night. And if you like JLB jams, there's several good ones here to take in. Definitely a great start to the JLB 2022 March Madness run and a must hear! Enjoy!
