Taper Notes:
View NotesDonnie Loeffler's notes: As far as I know , this source is uncirculated? I got this in the early 90s on a DAT trade. The glitches were on my tape. I can’t recall who I got the tape from and I don’t know the exact lineage, but my notes were Sennhieser 421’s with a 20 foot spread at the “rail” in the back of the taper’s section. No doubt, this is a early DAT source as in 1991 most folks were not using DAT, and the Casio DA-7 was really the 1st “commercial portable DAT” machine on the market. What we get is a really nice sound that resembles a old school FM broadcast, nice sweet sound from the PA. Caveats are: some digital glitches in the opening of China Cat Sunflower, and the low level on the right channel on Baby Blue. Also, the second set can be seamed as I always leave enough room to mend the cut in post … we really didn’t have that kind of DAW stuff in 1995 . If anyone has a better source with out glitches PLEASE put into circulation ! Great Show, Great Recording!
