View NotesQuarter-second dropout at 3:45 of Fire. Cassette flip between drums and space; I'm guessing not much is missing. *Box of Rain is from an audience source: AUD:DAT> CD> SHN Thanks to Rob Harrison for the discs, and to eD for the encore. Normalized and seeded by Peter Braverman ([email protected]), May 2002. ** REPAIR NOTES ** There were sector boundary errors on d1t09, all of disc 2, and the last 2 tracks of disc 3. To correct these, the SHN's were converted to WAV and then the resulting wav's were grouped by set (d1 and d2+d3) and fixed using the command "shntool fix *.wav" run on all of the wav files for each set. Shntool 1.01 was used. Shorten 1.4 was used to make SHN's from the wav's. I also removed the dropout from d2t02 using soundforge 5. The resulting fixed wavs were compressed back to SHN and new md5's were made - Chris L.

Matrix by Hunter Seamons using Final Cut Pro (FLAC > AIFF > Final Cut w/EQ > Soundtrack Pro > AIFF CD tracking via Audacity > FLAC16 via xACT w/meta-tagging) August 1, 2025
Taper Notes:
View NotesNotes: The SBD source was pitch corrected faster, between 0.8% and 0.6%. The SBD mix fluctuates a little for the first couple of songs. Two SBD dropouts, in Minglewood Blues and Row Jimmy, were patched with the AUD. Some static in Row Jimmy was cleaned up. The UltraMatrix SBD source became noticeably dryer beginning with Loose Lucy, which allowed for higher AUD levels in the mix, and even higher thereafter. For a minute during Drums, 0:50 - 1:50, the AUD source suddenly picks up a distinct echo effect from the PA, also present in the other AUD tapes. (The SBD and AUD sources are not out of sync for this section of the matrix.) "Apocalypse Now" bass effects begin midway into Space. Very light EQ applied, with a few areas receiving slightly different configurations in the SBD.
