View Notesnotes - Gloria (minor glitch at beginning, tape change) - (If you listen close you can here someone yell "No") I agree, it is pretty much a cop out encore after such a great show. This recording was done to capture as much as possable. There were no tape flips requiring fast forwarding or rewinding during the actual recording. Side A of the first tape was recorded then Side A of the second cassette. Everything was then fast forwarded at the break and the B Sides were recorded. Side A of the second tape was then advanced past where the first set ended in order to record any second set run over and/or the encore. There were never any pauses between tunes. The Dick's Picks of this show is great, but a decent AUD recording captures the real aura of the show.

Cool Edit Pro 2.0 was used to align & synch the 3 sources. SF6.0 used to adjust the volume for the center and LFE channels. Surcode CD Pro DTS was used to encode to DTS. -3db was NOT applied to the rear channels. Both of the sources for the front and rear channels were left at their original levels. - Mixed by [email protected] - Shn conversion 19-MAY-2004 - Coverted to FLAC 13-APL-06 - Artwork by [email protected] 300dpi - For best results print at the highest resolution onto glossy photo paper. I would no longer run the center or sub channel this high in the mix. This is an easy end-user adjustment and I suggest you do so. In other words, decrease the volume on the center channel and on your sub. Disc 2 and 3 can be assembled seamlessly on longer media. Quite a bit of meaningless between song "dead" air was missing on the SBD source. The FOB was seamlessly edited to match. No music, no stage talk or tuning was missing, just crowd noise. The result is smooth and most likely completely undetectable. 1:36.386 of crowd was missing on the SBD source between Cold, Rain & Snow and Little Red Rooster. 1:22.669 of crowd was missing on the SBD source between Stagger Lee and Me & My Uncle. 0:01.879 of crowd was missing on the SBD source between Samson & Delilah and High Time. 0:11.655 of crowd was missing on the SBD source between Gloria and Day Job. --------------------------------------------------------- More On DTS Today's audio standards are moving towards multi-channel sound, like DTS and Dolby Digital.
