Taper Notes:
View NotesTagging notes: Show information is embedded within the header of each flac file. It will display on any player capable of directly playing flac files. If converted to wav during processing, all tags will be stripped, however audio data will remain unaffected. If you must transcode to a lossy format, do so directly Flac > Lossy. Use st5 to validate audio integrity. Md5 values will change if tagging is altered.

Taper Notes:
View Notes--2026 Work-- --converted the original Charlie Miller Flac files to 14H kbps / 44 kHz .wav files using Flac Frontend. Retracked and did some slight editing to fix a couple of inconsistences betweeen tracks. Repatched all the first set AUD tracks (through the cut in Scarlet Begonias) with the Sirmick source. I also patched all the cuts in the second set that needed it - most notably the large section missing in '22 Jam' which required crossfades and a lot of volume adjustment to make as seamless as possible. All sound editing done using Roxio Sound Editor (2009). Re-Flac'd using Trader's Little Helper. All post work done by Brian Flegel - [email protected] - 04/26/2026 & 04/27/2026--

This a remaster of shnid 6162
Lineage:
aud mr > dat > cdr > wav > shn > wav > flac
Taper Notes:
View NotesThis is a nice clean recording apart from some small volume fluctuactions on d2, inconsequential cuts in some sections of applause and the dropout in Sugar Mag, except that it suffered from a lack of bottom end, making it harsh on the ears. - Sugar Mag patched 3:50 - 4:20 with sbd source (* sbd > mr > dat) - carried-out some other minor editing - boosted the bottom and the mid ranges - a little hiss reduction applied - it was necessary to discard part of the applause at the end of d3 because of the patch in Sugar Mag, so that it would fit on to an 80 minute cdr comments: Bobby drops a huge vocal clanger at about 1:20 into Truckin', he starts to sing part of the chorus at the wrong time. MAR > CD
Taper Notes:
View Notes3 CDs: MAR > CD. This audience tape was mastered by Gerhard Schinzel from mid-floor using a Philips mic and a Telefunken reel deck. The reel masters were transferred to CD by Uli Teute and were re-mastered by Dave Greenberg. The beginning of the reel containng WRS is now damaged and unplayable. This portion -- the first 1:20 or so of WRS -- is supplied from a safety cassette (MAR > C > CD). Uli Teute did this patch. SHN conversion by Jay Gerland (who thanks Jason Chastain). Dave Greenberg says that this master has "NO low end". That isn't really true, however. With an equalizer or the Loudness button on your amp or pre-amp or both, Phil can be made quite decently audible. Other than that, this is quite a decent AUD master, which is a good thing since it seems to be the only one in existance and certainly the only tape circulating.
