View Notes- I boosted the volume by 2 decibels for the first 1:06 of Big River as the sbd was a little quieter. I also did the same to El Paso, for the first 33 seconds, for the same reason. - the sbd was missing most of the crowd/tuning so I have copied this in from the aud and adjusted the volume accordingly. - several large clicks in d2t04 have been removed since I originally seeded this. - these two recordings compliment each other very well. The vocals on the sbd are a little low at times and the aud gives them a nice boost. The aud also helps to accentuate the sound of Phil's bass, which is never a bad thing.

View NotesComments: - "Truckin'" includes a "Nobody's Fault But Mine Jam" Notes: - Pitch correction - This was early in Jimmy's career as a taper, only his second show. See the tapebox pic enclosed with Jimmy's "self portrait." He was friends with Barry Glassberg and they later decided that their masters would be better preserved if they transferred them from cassettes to reels. On this occasion when he transfered it from the cassette masters to reel he put in fades at the start and end of each song, a number of them because the songs were clipped. I have restored the fades by patching in from shnid 106027 which needed to be pitch adjusted. I also made azimuth and phase adjustments. - Thank you Jerry Moore and Rob Berger. - Some of the patches are for continuity purposes, some are to replace some other small problems* . Apart from the clipping mentioned there are also some patches to cover where larger sections of music are missing as follows:- Don't Ease Me Greatest Story Ever Told - first 7.5 seconds, I Know You Rider Truckin' Stella Blue - Jimmy says that most of the problems were caused by Sonny Heard as he had cut the mic cable a couple of days before. He fixed the cable as well as he could but it gave intermittent problems.* Despite the problems that this source started out with it does sound very good. Thanks to Jimmy Warburton for lending us his reels. Thanks to Matt Smith for the transfer. Thanks to Joe B. Jones for his help with pitch correction. edited and mastered SIRMick October 2018
