View NotesThe Jed Luckless Band is back for the third show in a four-show run at the Purple Rain venue in Secondlife and live from The Jedstead. The first two shows were pretty hot, but the third time charms too, with The JLB delivering a "no-repeat" setlist that features bustouts, new songs and classic covers.

In fact the show opens with a cover, the Robert Palmer song "Sneaking Sally Through The Alley," which Phish covers and which JLB jams out here nicely to start the evening. Jed's "green" tune "Brother Love" comes next followed by the Mark Gutenplan song "Remember This Night," paired with a "swampy" version of the Luckless original "Queen Lucille." Kenny Kaufman gets into the vocal mix with the often Phish covered "Gumbo" attached to the David Bowie classic "Space Oddity" with a nice jam. The band debuts "Where The Mountains Meet The Sea," a bluegrass type Jed tune, to end the set.

Set two starts off with a strong jam out of the Phish song "Ghost," which sets the tone for the second half of the night. The longest jam of the night includes a Pete Martine drum solo and some trancy spaciness before a segue into the Grateful Dead's "Franklin's Tower." Another JLB debut comes next, the energetic "Story Of Shirtless Joe," which is followed by a blissful "Celebrate Instead." The mood is lifted again with the hopeful calypso tune "By and Bye" which the band jams on a bit before busting out "All At Once," from Jed's 2010 solo album. The band isn't quite done yet, ending the set with their third debut of the evening, a revved up instrumental called "Maserati," and following up with a "mellow" treatment of the Caili Spires song "The Song With Words And Stuff."

This is a fun JLB show with an interesting set list that features three new originals, some great Phish and Dead and a few choice jams. Enjoy!
