View NotesHere's one of two special Jed Luckless shows known as "Bakers Duo" that featuted Jed with his partner in lighting crime, Moondance Parx, performing together live from The Jedstead studio and broadcasting in Secondlife and on Facebook Live. The term "Bakers Duo" is a play on Phish's "Bakers Dozen" event which was going on at the time in NYC, and though the shows are originals heavy, each one in the pair does serve up some tasty Phish too. This first outing starts off bouncy with "Forgor to Forget You," one of Jed's bluegrass type tunes, but the set quickly turns jammy with an early placement of the rocker "Give it Back." A nice jam ensues, finding it's way into the instrumental "Mailboat Jam" before blasting off into "Ozone Blues." The quiet and always poignant "Own" comes next, followed by a strong two punch of the Mark Gutenplan song "Road Trip" and Jed's own "Sugar Pop" to close the first set. Second set opens with the pop rocker "Nothing's Ever Free," which spawns a serious jam that turns darkly into the emotional Gary Tyler song "Stronger Instead." The farcical "Throw It Down The Hill" lightens the mood before the Phish rears its head for the night in the form of an extra long "Possum" that jams it's way into another of Jed's instrumentals called "Umbrella Man." The night at Secondlife's Darkstar isn't without its Grateful Dead, as the set features a beautiful "Bird Song" before wrapping up with the Luckless classic "Still in Luv With U." A fun "Ass Gas or Grass" encore complete with a nod to the Beatles closes out the first of two funs shows featuring Jed and Moonie at The Jedstead! Enjoy!
