View NotesThe Jed Luckless Europe Tour 2017 made five stops across European venues in Secondlife, bringing Jammin Jed's unique rock & roll show to fans across the pond! This was the closing show of the tour, performed at La Fabrik in France, and it's a rocking one as you might expect! THe show opens with a hot and blustery "Victim Of They Rhythm" and as a firat set opener, it's a standalone version. Jed's "only French song" comes next, the instrumental "Doigter." A couple of tunes from Jed's "Luna" suite follow, the dramatic "The Constable," with a bouncy jam connecting it to the ballad "Oh My Star." Jed reaches back into the "GuRGLe" era next, with the war commentary "Friendly Burial" then lightens the mood with the love song "Secret Language." The first set wraps up woth the first cover song of the night, a lengthy, rocking version of Phish's "Wolfman's Brother." The second half of the show opens with "Give It Back," fast becoming one of Jed's go-to second set openers since it works well as a jam-spawner. This one is no exception, going strong for 18 minutes with a wicked solo section and drum jam before shifting into the poignant "Smile Forever." Another cover pops up next, this time The Grateful Dead's "Sugar Magnolia" which Jed leaves hanging to move onto his "pop" rocker "Sugar Pop." It's a great version of the cripsy crunchy tune, and it's followed by another cover, Moe's "Happy Hour Hero" which gives way to a Dead-y jam that finds its way to "Brokedown Palace," and the "Sunshine Daydream" reprise of Sugar Mags to close out the set. The encore features a touching Gregg Allman tribute with "Soulshine" before wrapping up energetically with Jed's tune "Where THe Mountains Meet The Sea." THis is a great overall show from one of Jed's best tours, with a high energy vibe, fun songs, and some great jams. Enjoy!
