View NotesJed Luckless continues his Europe 2017 tour, making the rounds at international venues in Secondlife and this time landing in Germany at "Feed A Smile," a very special venue where all proceeds from the shows benefit children in Kenya by feeding them meals. It's the second stop on Jed's Europe tour and he's just getting watmed up. The show opens with an instrumental, "Valley Of The Saints," which Jed wrote about a sacred region in the middle east. It's followed by an original blues number, the "Far Gone Blues." By the third song Jed seems ready to give it some gas, and he launches into an extended "Give It Back," typically played as a second set opener, but providing some needed oomph to the first set here. After a sweet jam complete with a "James Bond" tease (in honor of Sir Roger Moore), Jed settles into the melancholy "Celebrate Instead." The first cover song of the night follows, with the Trey Anastasio song "Simple Twist Up Dave," which Jed jams out nicely. He finds his way back into his originals, wrapping up the set with the somber but peppy "Sunlight." Second set also opens with an instrumental, the fast-paced "Maserati" in honor of the Autobahn tonight according to Jed. The proggy testimonial "Lightship" provides a nice jam before a segue into the soulful "Begging For Mercy" and another pair of covers follows, with the Talking Head's "Cities" a perfect choice for Europe tour. Another nice jam leads into the Phish song "Joy," and the encore features the only Grateful Dead song of the night with "Ripple." The popular Jed encore "By and Bye" wraps up the show with everyone singing and dancing. This is a fun show for a great cause from Jammin Jed's 2017 Europe Tour that's definitely worth a listen for some instrumentals, killer jams, intersting cover tunes and an energetic vibe throughout! Enjoy!
