View NotesThe Jed Luckless 2021 Fall Tour continues with the first of two shows at The Mumbling Goat venue in Secondlife. An energetic crowd showed up early for this one and the place was vibing hard as Jed took the stage and Moondance Parx fired up the light rig. Things heat up quickly as Jed launches into his pop-rocker "Still In Luv With U," and opens it righ tup into a killer jam with ripping guitar lines and a sick key shift before transitioning into a debut cover of "Send In The Clowns" in tribute to the recently deceased songwriter and composer Stephen Sondheim. Jed's own folksy waltz "All At Once" follows it nicely. "The 86" shoves off next and as always provides a great backdrop for an intense guitar solo before throttling into a power jam featuring some nice synth leads. "Ozone Blues" emerges from the din and includes a gritty guitar solo, and the set closer is the ever-phun "Ass Gas or Grass," with Jed challenging any phans in the crowd to play the song title game. After a brief setbreak, Jed and Moonie kick off second set with one of their favorite set II openers, the indie-rock oriented "Give It Back," which of course gives way to the longest jam of the night, a 30+ minute affair featuring a funky piano and guitar segment followed by a soaring up-tempo portion that makes a sudden shift into "Catfish Friend." A Phish cover combo comes next with a nice long version of "Ghost" accompanied by fantastically ghostly lights, and the poignant "Waste," its powerful end guitar solo closing out the four song set. The double encore features Jed's sentimental "The Wane," paired with one last rocker for the night, The Rolling Stones "Loving Cup." This is a super high energy show at a fun venue with a great crowd and a really good set list featuring some Jed favorites, several Phish tunes, and a few smoking jams. Enjoy!
