View NotesThe Jed Luckless 2021 Fall Tour kicks off with a special opener at The Janus Gallery in Secondlife for an event celebrating the return to renowned SL artist Filthy Fluno to the grid. The place was packed for the reception, and the gallery was brimming with amazing paintings and sculptures by Filthy, creating a fantastic creative environment for a Jed show! Unfortunately, fire codes prevented Moondance from joining on lights, so Jed has to jam alone on this one. Set one opens energetically with "The Need For Love" which sets a high energy, fast paced tone for the evening. Jed keeps the tempo up with the tale of Phish tour "Ass Gas of Grass" in the second slot. The energy continues into the D&D inspired "Alignments" and the GuRGLe era tune "The Freeze," which opens up into the first jam of the night. Jed busts a string but carries right on through, donning his back up guitar for the set closer, the gospel epic "Twelve." With his string replaced, Jed is back on his main guitar (aka. 'Brownie') for the second set opener, the Frazier Sinkler collaboration "Water Glass." Its rocking solo section brings the energy right back, and Jed keeps in going into a bouncy jam that features synth melodies and soaring guitars. It never slows down as it moves right into a fast paced version of the west coast rocker "Latest Craze" which barely pauses before moving into Jed's classic pop tune "Still In Luv With U." Things finally let up for a breather next with "Cash Me In," but not for long as Jed jumps back into the fray with "Doesn't" and one last improv jam of the night featuring a cool key solo and lightning fast rhythm that modulates under Jed's ripping guitar riffs. As if things weren't already ratcheted up enough, the high-octane instrumental "Maserati" speeds into action in a rare set closing spot. Not willing to let the energy dissipate, Jed tacks on a rocking "After Midnight" encore. Tour openers are always fun, and this is a super high energy Jed show in a cool venue for a special event. It's filled with fast paced rockers, lightning jams and a ton of great Jed originals. Enjoy!
